Armenia parliament merges two energy organizations
Armenian parliament merged on Thursday 31st of January 2019 two energy organizations- CJSC Energokarberum and CJSC Scientific Research Center of Energy.
The organizations were merged for more effective management of the resources of both companies, a coordinated and efficient organization of work aimed at the safe operation of power systems.
Al Nowais Investments interested in Armenia's renewable energy sector
The UAE-based Al Nowais Investments company is interested in cooperating with Armenia, its Chairman Hussain AlNowais said at a meeting with Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian in Abu Dhabi.
Hussain AlNowais will visit Armenia in the near future to explore the investment opportunities with a view of developing concrete projects.
The company is particularly interested in the implementation of joint projects in different fields of the renewable energy sector.
Al Nowais Investments operates as an industrial conglomerate with its interests in power, water, oil and gas, and industrial projects.
PM in Zurich, discusses Armenia investment projects with businessmen
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met last week with a group of businessmen in Zurich when they discussed the avenues and prospects for implementing various investment programs in Armenia.
Swiss entrepreneur Hans Schweigard presented to Armenia's PM a major investment project in solar energy production. Welcoming the businessman's initiative, Pashinyan outlined his government's strategy in the energy sector and the prospects for developing this domain.
The Prime Minister, for his part, assured the Armenian government's willingness to support the proposed investment programs. Nikol Pashinyan added that the steps toward improving Armenia's business climate will be continued as the government is eager to draw new job-extensive investments into the country.
